Udacity has partnered with Access Bank, a multi-national commercial bank, to empower Nigerians who are interested to learn tech-forward skills and kick-start their careers in the banking sector in 2024.
We are proud to offer hands-on learning opportunities for fields like Business Analytics, Programming and Data Science, Product Management, Digital Marketing, and Programming. The scholarship recipients will be required to complete a portfolio of projects in real life that show mastery of highly sought-after technical skills.

Eligibility for Access Bank Udacity Advance Africa Scholarship
All applicants aged 20 and over are encouraged to apply. The Nanodegree programs require that scholarship recipients are willing to work approximately 5-10 hours per week.
prerequisites for the success of Access Bank Udacity Advance Africa Scholarship
Business Analytics
This program is intended for beginners and does not require any prerequisites. We recommend that you have some experience with computers and be able to download and set up applications.
Introduction to Programming
We recommend that you have experience with the internet, be able to search Google, and most importantly, have the will to continue pushing forward.
Python programming for data science
Except for basic computer skills, there are no prerequisites to this program. Basic computer operations such as opening files, folders, and applications, copying, pasting, and opening and closing them should be easy for you to perform.
Product Manager
You don’t need any previous experience in Product Management. Basic computer skills are required, including the ability to navigate the Internet using an online browser, manage files, use third-party programs, and navigate through the Internet. Access to a video camera is also required.
Digital Marketing
Basic computer skills are required for students to navigate online.

What is the Access Bank Scholarship Program?
Access Bank and Udacity are providing 1,000 Nanodegree program scholarships to people in Africa who want to develop practical, high-demand, and cutting-edge technology skills. This scholarship will provide opportunities to upskill scholarship recipients and equip them with the skills that are needed by many tech companies.
The program takes place where?
The entire program is online. The students can work anywhere they like, provided they have an internet connection.
What is the process of this scholarship program?
Phase 1: Challenge Course
Access Bank Scholarship applicants will be divided into four rolling cohorts. The first cohort will begin in September 2024. Each cohort will have 2,500 participants. The first phase of the scholarship will see students complete one of five Challenge Courses. These courses consist of course text, content, and quizzes. They are for Business Analytics, Intro To Programming, Programming For Data Science With Python, Product Management, and Digital Marketing, and last for 5 weeks. This period requires that learners are prepared to spend approximately 3-5 hours each week. Participants in the Challenge Course will be able to interact with their classmates in an active student community.
Phase 2: Nanodegree program
In total, 1,000 students will be offered a scholarship in 4 cohorts. These scholarships include Business Analytics, Intro To Programming, Programming For Data Science With Python, Product Management, Digital Marketing, and Programming for Data Science With Python. Each cohort will include 250 scholarships. The first winners of the cohort will be announced in October 2024. These Nanodegree programs include expert project reviews by human project reviewers. For 2 months, applicants should expect to work approximately 5-10 hours per week.
