Eligibility Criteria for Canada Permanent Residence

To apply for Canada permanent residency, you should have either been a permanent resident of another country for at least five years or have been a temporary resident for at least one year. Furthermore, you must have enough money to support yourself and your family members if they join you in Canada. If you are coming to Canada to work, you must have a work permit. Generally speaking, the total time spent as a resident in another country is counted as time spent “in the ordinary course of events”. This means that if you move to Canada for one year and then move back to your home country for three years, only one year will be counted as time spent “in the ordinary course of events”. If you have been living in another country for a long time, you must have lived there for a minimum of one year before applying for Canada PR. This means that if you were a resident of a foreign country for more than one year but were not a resident of that country for at least one year, you can only apply for Canada PR after you have lived there for one year. If you are between 18 and 25 years old and are applying for a PR card, you must have a unique temporary resident (J-1) visa issued by the Canadian government. This visa is issued for the purpose of training and education in another country. If you are between 18 and 55 years old and are applying for a work permit, you must have either been a temporary resident for at least one year or have been a permanent resident for at least three years. There are different types of Canada permanent residence which are mostly based on the length of time spent outside of your native country. – Traditional – This type of PR is generally granted to individuals who have lived outside their home country for at least 10 years. – Intermediate – This type of PR is generally granted to individuals who have lived outside their home country for at least five years. – New – This type of PR is generally granted to individuals who have lived outside their home country for at least three years. – Young – This type of PR is generally granted to individuals who have lived outside their home country for at least one year. – Intra-Company Transfer – This type of PR is generally granted to employees of a multinational company who have received permission from their company to move to Canada.

How to Get Canada Permanent Residence by Investment

The most direct way of getting Canada permanent residency is through the investment option. This allows you to get permanent residence status by investing CAD one million in a business venture that creates at least one job in Canada. The most beneficial provinces for this approach are Ontario and British Columbia. To be eligible for the investment option of Canada permanent residence, you must be an individual or a corporation. You cannot be a member of a partnership or be a representative of a company that is applying for the investment option
